• SPACE RIDERS  are a local bike group situated in Shirland , Derbys, who regulate the Red lion in Shirland ,
• a superb biker friendly pub , who not only biker mad but love Space rock / Classic Rock , acts such as
• Hawkwind , Arthur Brown , Ozrics , Groundhogs , Quintessance , Gong , Motorhead etc and of course
• DR HASBEEN ,
• Our regular nights to frequent the Lion are Fridays and Mondays . we are not a club , we are a group
• of bikers who attend / play various rallies, provide  our own gigs rock nights / music festival,
• promoting the kind of music we enjoy .

lets have your ideas on what / who you would like to see . Our rock nights have been very succesful ,

It is noted we could do with a bigger venue , We particular like the small intense atmosphere , however

i understand people could not get in last time , and getting a beer was a nightmare .

So we are planning a major 2 - 3 day festival next year , talks are already with sponsors , venue etc.

The theme of the event will be main stage for Space rock orintated bands and the 2nd stage for local

bands , trance , also an accoustic jam session in the bar area , Fun fair , stalls all the usual
